Nurses Going Abroad, You Wish!

After finishing Nursing all I though is it's easy to go abroad because people said it's the easiest way to get out of the country. I'm telling you, THEY ARE ALL LYING. It is a dream of every Filipino nurses to go abroad after they graduate, most likely after passing the local board exam but in the present condition of the country plus the recession and all, all of this dream will remain a DREAM.

You will be needing Php 320,000 - 400,000 if you want to graduate as a nurse, this is just a probable summary of tuition fee of a nurse from 1st to 4th year, travel expenses are not included so as the "baon" and projects that are needed for four years, oh and not to mention the photocopies of unnecessary copies of lectures of professors whose not in the mood to teach.

And what can you get after you graduate?, Distress on how to look for a job, and if ever you fiund one you will be earning Php 350 - 450 pesos of basic salary a day which is Php 7,000 - 9,000 pesos per month Php 84,000 - 108,000 annually. It's better to be hired as a call center agent if you want to earn much rather than to work as a nurse in here. Only you should not do that, because you will be needing a 2 years experience as a nurse to get out of this country, if you want to pursue that dream and earn back your parents expenses of Php 320,000 - 400,000 for your education you have to open your mind and suffer in here first.

Last Wednesday I went to an agency in Malate, as somebody told my sister that this agency made her friend leave the country without experience. When I got there together with my brother, Ate Tiffy, Ice and Frances we found out that they still require 2 years of experience in order for us to leave.

So I have no choice but to pursue this career. I love nursing, I really do, but the adversity it gives makes me hate it.

And by the way in order for you to be hired as a nurse in hospitals here in the Philippines you have to have a license of IV therapy and it's another expenses for you and your parents.

So to all aspiring Nurses, good luck to all of you. The key term is to be aggressive, do whatever it takes to be hired as a hospital nurse, be competitive and most of all stick to whatever passion that's left in you as a Nurse coz it's the only motivation that you'll have in pursuing this career.
